OUR
STORY
"I just want everyone to feel special."
-Chasidi
BBR Foundation for Chasidi TS Poole is a 501c3 exempt nonprofit founded by Marilyn Poole to keep the honorable memories of Chasidi TS Poole. BBR stands for Blessed, Broken and Restored. Chasidi was a vivacious intelligent young lady who was born with Sickle Cell Anemia. She was diagnosed and first showed symptoms of this horrific disease at age three. She was in and out of hospitals for weeks to months at a time. She was a fighter and she had a very big heart. She was so lovable and caring. She used her sickness to show others what it meant to love. She was an advocate for education even though she didn't get to finish college due to her illness. She did not let that stop her from encouraging her classmates to soar and be the best for she knew that anything was possible with God. She was a big cheerleader to her classmates. If she could help them anyway with homework, etc., she did it. Her motto was "I just want everyone to feel special". Even though her struggles were hard she kept a smile on her face and kept moving on.

Chasidi spent numerous hours calling, texting, and face-timing others who had the same disease. She showed the same love to her family, friend, and anyone who look like they needed her help. No one was a stranger to her because she wanted them to know they were special and loved. She loved her nieces and took great time showing them love.
As the years went by and the disease caused her organs to break down, she never stop loving because she wanted everyone to know that the Sickle Cell Anemia was no joke. Chasidi did her best to make society aware of this awful disease. At the age of thirty-three, she transitioned to be with Lord. She was so very grateful to have lived and loved, but she wanted to write a book about her life. She was separated from me for a few years, but God brought her back to me and restored our relationship before her transition. From that experience, God gave me the vision to open a nonprofit in her honor to bring awareness to Sickle Cell Anemia. Because she was an advocate for education I want to offer scholarships to young men and women who need help in accomplishing their dream and being the best person they can be. She would want others to know their value and worth. I will use this platform to impact and empower young men and women to encourage them to know their worth and value, so they can fulfill their purpose and destiny.
